Girlfriend Trip to Philly

Food, History, Fun!

There are so many things to see in Philly! Although I didn't get to see as much as I would've liked to, I did see all of the major tourist monuments and destinaations.

We first stopped by the Cemetery where Benjamin Franklin lies. We put pennies on his grave to pay tribute to him. "A penny saved, is a penny earned."

We stopped by Betsy Ross's house. where the first American Flag was made.

We toured the U.S. Philadelphia mint, where we were given a bag of money...too bad it was shredded money! $$$

We also toured a museum that showed how the Declaration of Independence was printed. The old time printer they had broke down, and had to be replaced. Fun fact.....the new replacement printer was purchased from a small town in Utah where old time printers are made.

We of course had to stop and take a photo in front of the Liberty Bell.

We toured through Independence Hall. The chair on the top left photo is an actual chair that Ben Franklin would sat in.

We ended our day down near a pier where we had delicious Funnel Cake. We could only finish about half of each of ours. It was a great way to end the day!

There is something for everyone in Philadelphia, and lots of fun sites and museums to see!

xoxo
