With wedding season in full swing, I thought I'd share my experience planning my wedding!
To be honest, my mom and I started planning my wedding when I got engaged, maybe a little bit before when I knew he bought the ring. We started going to bridal fairs just to see what was out there and it was fun to go together! Those who have been married know how much time, effort, and planning goes into a wedding. The whole process can be stressful at times, but it can be a lot of fun! I got engaged in March 12, 2016, and that’s a fun story for another day. We set our wedding date for September 2, right about the time school started Fall semester. Some people will say that is a long engagement especially for a Utah girl. It definitely seemed like it was forever, as he was away that whole summer doing summer sales and I only got to see him twice. Let’s just say wedding planning was a great distraction and kept me busy, although it was hard not being together.
Lucky for me my mom gave me a binder that had everything in it that I would need as far as tabs for what we needed to plan and different ideas. It was the perfect companion for making wedding plans. It helped me stay on track for what needed to be done each week.
I got married in the Salt Lake temple and we had the reception at The Manor at The Riverwoods in Orem. It was a beautiful day! I have to say...my mom was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding, she was so awesome through the whole process of planning the wedding and reception.
